Waveform Tesserae

June 20, 2025

For several weeks in the latter part of 2024, I had several dreams that involved images of geometric patterns floating in my mind. This inspired me to try and capture some of these images as tesserae—that is, pieces of a giant mosaic. Since each track is composed of sound—which is really nothing more than interweaving waveforms—the title Waveform Tesserae seemed like a no-brainer!

Gifts of Wisdom

October 7, 2024

Throughout most of 2024, I was collaborating with 22 authors in the creation of a wonderful book entitled Gifts of Wisdom. The book became a #1 International Best-Seller on Amazon. About half-way through the project, I had the idea to compose some music, where each track could be thought of as an individual gift of wisdom. If you happen to own a copy of the book, let this music serve as a lovely backdrop as you read.

AetherioSynthos

September 1, 2023

This is my first foray into pure electronic music. It's a sonic odyssey that transcends traditional boundaries, where ambient and EDM converge to form a mesmerizing auditory journey. Each track is a carefully crafted sonic landscape, designed to evoke a unique emotional response while maintaining a cohesive narrative throughout the journey.

Sasta Mandala

March 20, 2013

I put this album together as a form of celebration for my 60th birthday. The title Sasta Mandala is from the Sanskrit and it means literally Sixty Cycles. Several tracks combine poetry/lyrics and music. The rest are strictly instrumental. I had the blessing of working with my two sons, Kevin and Brian, on this album. Kevin's forte is hip-hop music. Brian is a talented multi-instrumental singer/songwriter.

BlackWhite

July 1, 2010

BlackWhite is a concept album all about dichotomies and paradoxes (hence the titles for the first and last track—which are the only tracks with vocals). Aside from the first and last track, all titles have names which consist of two polar opposites rendered in a foreign language. I’ve taken some liberties with the translations so that the resulting phrase rolls a little more easily off the tongue!

Evidence of Consciousness

January 1, 2008

What is consciousness? In 2008, it was certainly a major question on my mind! I decided to compose an album with consciousness as its main theme. Here you will find 14 instrumental tracks in a style that I came to call electro-acoustica. Curious about the song titles? My idea was to come up with titles that represent attributes of higher consciousness, and then I decided to translate all the words I came up with into different languages. For example, “Furaha” is the Swahili word for “Joy”. I’ll let you figure out all the other ones! Have fun!

élanCIPATION

September 1, 1999

A collection of original tunes written by myself and other members of our folk-rock band bright-blue. Definitely old style—think John Denver, Mamas and Papas—but still enjoyable to listen to.
