BlackWhite is a concept album all about dichotomies and paradoxes (hence the titles for the first and last track—which are the only tracks with vocals).

This album was released at a time when CDs were still being used for publishing (although by this time CD popularity was definitely starting to fade!) For this reason, I put a lot of time and energy into the cover art. If you happen to have a physical CD in your collection you'll see all kinds of interesting optical illusions and other meaningful images that deal with the subject of polarities.

Aside from the first and last track, all titles have names which consist of two polar opposites rendered in a foreign language. I've taken some liberties with the translations so that the resulting phrase rolls a little more easily off the tongue!
